COULD NOT CONNECT – Victrix Control Hub App Driver Conflict
The Victrix Pro BFG Controller communicates to the Victrix Control Hub App via HID commands. Specific software like Steam may install custom Lower Filter drivers that interfere with the Pro BFG’s communication with the app.
To fix this issue, please download and run the VictrixCompatibility.reg file below to restore the USB HID Lower Filter to its default configuration. After running the VictrixCompatibility.reg file, please unplug and reconnect your Pro BFG Controller/Dongle to your PC for the app to recognize the device.
If you experience issues with Steam after this, you can reinstall their custom Lower Filter driver by selecting the “Xbox Extended Feature Support” checkbox within Steam’s Controller Settings.
**Please note that running this file will restore your USB HID Lower Filter driver to its default configuration, which could affect other peripherals utilizing custom USB HID Lower Filter drivers.**
If both the Dongle LED and the Controller LED are slowly blinking simultaneously but are not establishing a connection, they may need to be re-paired to each other. To re-pair the controller and dongle, follow the below procedure:
-
- Plug in the dongle to a USB port and wait for the LED to begin blinking slowly (normal mode)
- Use a paperclip to press and hold the pinhole button on the side of the dongle for ~3 seconds until the LED begins blinking rapidly (pairing mode), then release
- Set the Pro BFG WIRED/WIRELESS Switch to WIRELESS Mode
- Power on the Pro BFG Controller by pressing and releasing PS Button (the function LED will be slowly blinking in normal mode)
- Press and hold the Profile Button on the back of the Pro BFG controller until the LEDs stop blinking and turn solid ON (this could take between 3-10 seconds)
Controller & Dongle should now be paired
