Power/Home
a. Press to turn on.
b. Press and hold, then select “turn console off.”
This remote connects to your TV through HDMI/CEC. Can you make sure that the HDMI cable is connected through an HDMI(ARC) entrance on the TV. Then I would also check to make sure that your TV has HDMI/CEC permits enabled, please refer to the user guide of your TV to find out this information. If your TV does not have HDMI CEC capabilities, this may be why you are having issues with controlling the volume.
Please follow these steps to reset the settings for the controller:
-Please turn off the Xbox, disconnect the power supply, connect the power supply after 30 seconds
-Remove the batteries from the Media remote
-Turn the Xbox on
-Put the batteries back on the remote and press the Nexus button
-When prompted, give permission for the Xbox to have CEC/HDMI control (It should be a pop up window)
Please check the following steps on your Series X/S console:
Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options.
In here please check all the boxes under HDMI-CEC and restarts your console.
Please restart your TV as well.
If it doesn't work, please go to the same menu Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options and uncheck all the boxes, restart your console, go back to Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options check all the boxes and restart the console again, and do a test to see if it works.
Let us know if the issue persists afterwards.
